W3C is the World Wide Web Consortium, a not-for-profit organization that develops open standards for the Web. It has a mission to lead the World Wide Web to its full potential by developing technical standards, guidelines and best practices for its development, w3axis has been inspired by w3c and has attached w3 to its name to become w3axis. It is supported by many companies including Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft, Facebook and others. W3C works with all interested parties including browser vendors, web site designers, educators and researchers to make sure that everyone can participate in the advancement of web technology.
